NTT America's Managed Firewall Services utilize stateful inspection technology, which intercepts packets at the network for state and context information before passing or blocking.

The IDS/IPS services utilize a continuously updated database of known attack patterns. Dedicated appliances deployed in the network search for the signatures of these threats and constantly report back giving the customer a full view of their security status. The IPS option intercepts threats before they can affect the customer's applications.

Managed Security customers have access to NTT America's security portal. This convenient online resource allows customers to drill down to:

• Security platform status of devices and security level
• Security platform analysis including data mining, event correlation and threat modeling
• Access to logs, scanning sweeps, firewall statistics and other monthly reports

The NTT America Security Operations Center (SOC) is also on the job and available to customers 24x7x365. The SOC has a dedicated security support team, redundant in-band and out-of-band connectivity to managed assets, and also offers customers around the clock access to technical experts.
